Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) – Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Minister Teten Masduki has expressed optimism that Indonesia will become a global hub for home decor considering the vast potential of its local products.

“Based on data, furniture and craft products have been exported with a value of up to USD3.5 billion and absorbed 143 thousand workers spread in 1,114 companies,” he said at the IFFINA Indonesia Meubel and Design Expo in Tangerang on Saturday.

According to Masduki, Indonesia’s vision of becoming the world’s economic hub involves a big push to expand market access for the furniture industry so it can reach the global market.
